Prowling Tiger … Hidden Zebra Cake

I’ve been having fun in the kitchen again …

I saw this cake baked on a recent prime time cookery show and thought that I had the patience to attempt it.

You make half a normal vanilla sponge mix (and put it into a piping bag) and half a normal chocolate sponge mix (and put it in a piping bag).  And then you pipe small amounts alternately into the cake tin (along its vertical axis), and what you find is that the piping that is currently being done pushes the previous cake mix outwards, and the bands maintain their relative positions.  It was cooked at GM4 [180C, 350F] for 80 minutes (and covered for the first hour).

The tiger came from a template of an internet image, and some icing sugar.

Oh, and it was good to eat as well …
